Microsoft has finally released their next generation sync tool for both Windows and Mac OSX.
The new client boasts the following:
– Sync up to a 10GB files
– Removal of the 20,000 file sync limit
– Sync only selected folders
Although the windows application is fairly easy to use, there’s a couple of extra steps to get the OSX working with business accounts.
Users will notice that once they download the OneDrive app from the Apple AppStore, it will not accept their work or school username/password. Tell the app to authenticate against the OneDrive for Business servers by opening Terminal and running these two commands:
defaults write com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac DefaultToBusinessFRE -bool True
defaults write com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac EnableAddAccounts -bool True
Once they’ve been run, open the OneDrive app and log in with the OneDrive for Business credentials.
